Cricket Tournament

Introduction:

In India Cricket is not a sport, it is a Religion. People don’t play cricket in India, they follow Cricket. Cricket comes in different forms in India, one of them is Night Gali Cricket across India’s maidans, rooftops and back alleys, gully cricket pushes back against football and urbanisation.

At first it seems like chaos. But as you allow your eyes to adjust, focus and refocus, like when looking at stars on a clear, moonless summer night, you start telling them apart. There are at least 3-4 different cricket matches on, each containing its own constellation of players, across the dusty maidan.

Being in Australia for a decade, Night Gali cricket Was being missed so decided to start one with all the music, food stall in 2019. Since than we have looked back. We had 9 teams playing each weekend sat and sun day and night matches for 2 weeks with no Age bar. Looking forward to organising more matches with different age groups. Team along with families came and enjoyed the whole day. Bringing Communities together is our motto through different events
